What do you get when you take 49 determined debaters, a championship debate tournament, a bunch of pizza, piles of research, and a whole bunch of hard work? Well, I’ll tell you! You end up with 20 winners, which is 41% of the team! The Canyons Championship Debate Tournament took place at Corner Canyon High School on April 24th.

- Henry Slabbert won the school AND the district MVP award for being Albion’s and Canyons District’s most successful overall debater.
- Liam Linton won the Coach’s award for being the debater with the most heart, commitment, determination, and perseverance.
- Finally, in the competition for the team sweepstakes award for being the most successful overall team, Albion won 2nd place!
