MINUTES
1. Call to Order, Approval of Agenda, Approval of December 2021 minutes

2. SCC Business
- Meeting calendar for the year: February 23, March 30, April 27
- Begin work on next years TSSP and Land Trust plans
Review current plan and data review – passed out MI and RI data review for fall to winter scores
- SNAP plan due January 14 – see attached map for safe walking routes; administration is putting out the concerns for child safety; seems the same concerns are voiced in the past years
- School Safety, Positive Behavior Plan and Digital Citizenship
- Take some of the extra funds for school spirit; and give more money to the science department to have more hands on labs
- Teachers could submit their requests for approval of projects and supplies for SCC to pay
3. Counselor’s Report

Only 3 more than last meeting but also haven’t been consistently in school yet.
Course Selection:
- Switching up the normal year stuff back to last year’s model – visiting the elementary’s on Tuesday, Feb 1st for in-person presentation and virtual parent night on our website
- HS Stuff – we know Hillcrest sent out communication – does anyone here have anyone headed to Brighton? Have you received communication from them at all? We know what is going on from Molly but not sure what our families have received from the HS.
4. Faculty Report
- SEL and Digital Literacy Curriculum for Fridays next school year, Parents are on board to go forward
5. New Business
- Launch a video contest for middle school and high school starting on February The theme is “don’t be mean behind the screen”. Students can make a video that is less than a minute long to submit and win prizes. Students can compete as a group or a pair or single. Note: Middle schools will not be competing with High Schools for prizes.
- Melinda Rosevear promoting a 45 minute lesson on digital safety; the company can have the entire middle school done in one day (digital repos-ability company)
- Parents want information sent to them on the different teams and tryouts from Brighton – we need to follow up with Brighton
- SCC wants to now about the school climate as it is for
- SCC would like to pay for some spirit event and/or science supplies for more interactive labs
- PT Conference Night – add a parent night for digital safety presentation – it’s free from the Digital Respons-ability company (Amanda will follow up with Melinda Rosevear)
