What do you get when you take 52 determined debaters, a championship debate tournament, a bunch of pizza, piles of research, and a whole bunch of hard work? Well, I’ll tell you! You end up with 30 winners (which is 57% of the team)! The Championship debate tournament took place at Draper Park Middle School on April 25th, 2024.
Policy Debate:

Additionally:
- Gary Lyhnakis won the MVP award for being Albion’s most successful overall debater in his 3 semesters of debate.
- Chloe Bergen won the Coach’s award for being the debater with the most heart, commitment, determination, and perseverance.
- The following students were recognized for their commitment to debate. Since they’ve each chosen to take debate class 3 separate times, they were awarded a special 3-year debater award.
