MINUTES

1. Call to Order, Approval of Agenda:

    • Approve Agenda: Melinda and Katie
    • Approval of January Minutes: Kim, Misti

2. SCC Business

  • Meeting calendar for the year: March 30, April 27
    • Cherie Sadowski unable to attend March 30 meeting – Misti Milner to conduct
    • Continue work on next years TSSP and Land Trust plans

3.  Principal Report

  • TSSP and Land Trust final report for last year was due end of February; deadline now end of February; Molly will send out through email for approval
  • Review current plan and data review
  • On target with finances for SCC funds for the school year
  • Able to pay more teachers for after school tutoring from para funds
  • Want more funds for interventionists rather than aides
  • School Safety, Positive Behavior Plan and Digital Citizenship

4.  Counselor’s Report

  • Parent Notification of Student Threat Numbers: Self-harm or suicide ideation
    • Current School Year: 20-21 School Year (this time last year) Total LY: 43
    • 6th: 3 6th: 7
    • 7th: 16 7th: 11
    • 8th: 10 8th: 13
    • Total: 29 Total: 31
  • Course Selection:
    • Finishing up entering cards this Up next: planning for next year and master scheduling. CCR’s have been very helpful.
  • Permits each year about 70+

5. Faculty Report

  • New Course Update: Digital Literacy/Mastering Me (Friday Lessons)
  • Brighton Counselor Visits for Course Selection – solutions to student stress; have parent volunteers come in to help students

6. New Business

  • Board voted to keep remote learning days for the remainder of the school Suggestions/feedback for next year?
    • Teachers need planning time – district looking at options
  • Support staff pay increases next year (through district) to stay competitive and help fill empty positions. Thoughts?
    • Income tax earmark for education – format of pay lanes needs revamp
  • Add more school spirit activities next year – monthly school goals: reading/math, PPROS, offer rewards, divide up per grade level
