    4. The council continued discussion on need for counseling support.

3. New Business

    1. Parent Teacher Conferences (see attachment) – proposal from committee shared Potentially this means: 1 night of scheduling and 1 night open for conference with At-Risk and then an open house for others.
      1. Feedback:
      • The fall PTC is too early but for the transitioning students into Albion it is very helpful. Front-loading at Back to School Night would be more helpful.
      • Appreciate having the conferences earlier allows me to help my student adjust emotionally.
      • Midterm is a prior notice and sometimes it is seen as an ending point. The quarter report card is the midterm of the semester.
      • The Fall PTC does offer opportunities to go over Reading Inventory and Math Inventory scores.

2. Digital Citizenship – SCC Digital Citizenship Action Plan reviewed

  • Our Media Teacher also meets with the students at multiple times through the year as part of different subjects. She also sends out activities to teachers for students each month.
  • PTA will host a White Ribbon Week. Members of SCC had no further questions or concerns regarding the Digital Citizenship information presented.

3. Preliminary planning for next year’s LandTrust plan (to be finalized by March mtng) – Administration will forward ideas to consider for next year’s LandTrust plan prior to the January meeting.

4. SNAP Plan – required to submit plan for children to walk to school safely. Hazards are marked on the walking routes. Problem areas are noted. Copies of this have been sent to city planners.

4. Old Business

    1. Cell Tower Funds – Teacher wish list items were fulfilled, mobile cart purchased for new Other requests will be provided at January SCC meeting.
    2. SAGE data 17-18 – SCC had requested opt out numbers for 17 – 18. Our opt out numbers were low (44 students).
      1. SAGE → RISE for 2018-2019; RISE has the same test item banks but is simply a different company. It is still vetted by Utah teachers. It can be compared for year-to-year data.

5. Celebrations – Teachers are very appreciative of the additional items SCC approved!
