  1. Call to Order and Approval of Agenda
    1. Meeting called to order at 4:05 pm (Member Steenblik, Nasser seconded motion).
    2. Member Miller excused; Member Vea excused.
    3. Member Clawson proposed approval of minutes; Member Simao motioned to approve. Member Sadowski seconded motion. All in favor; Member Allred & Milner abstained
  2. Bylaws and Rules of Order and Procedure Review
    1. Member Sadowski presented bylaws for discussion of removal, edit, or leave alone from Rules of Procedure. (see attached)
  3. New Business
    1. Planners
      1. Students are reporting planners are not being used consistently; teachers will be asked to follow-up to work through any barriers.
    2. Vaping (cameras/monitors)
      1. There have been no referrals of vaping since the last SCC meeting. The dangers of vaping are being addressed in Health class and by counselors.
      2. No new feedback from the community has come in.
    3. Plans and Budgeting
    4. Plans are moving forward as planned; more info to come on the budget in December.
  4. Principal’s report
    1. Digital Citizenship
      1. Members need to peruse the 2019 – 2020 School Safety and Digital Citizenship Report by the next SCC meeting.
        1. Overview and summary of each chapter reviewed.
        2. Council needs to report back on top 2 of concerns for Principal’s report.
    2. New Cell Phone Policy
      1. Principal Hart requested feedback on the new policy.
        1. 3rd reading by the Board will be done in November.
        2. Substitutes entering the building need to be aware of the policies and not be allowing inappropriate cell phone use.
        3. Overall the technology hype at Albion has cooled.
        4. Members need to read the policies and send any other concerns to Principal Hart
  5. Counselor’s report
    1. SCC serves as the SIC for the Counselors.
    2. Only 4 reports of student self-harm so far
    3. Albion Ambassadors will begin meeting soon.
    4. 8th grade CCR appointments will begin soon.
      1. Sign-Up Genius will be used to set these up.
    5. Project Connection – Catherine is meeting with 13 students from Albion.
      1. The extra support from the district is very helpful and appreciated.
  6. Member Items and Comments
    1. None
    2. Member Allred asked about the progress of the two interventionists. Interventionists have been an incredible asset to the academic progress of students.
  7. Adjournment – Member Sadowski motioned to adjourn. Member Allred seconded. All in favor.
